Programming with your child

To get a deeper understanding about how to create digital content you might want to try an easy programming language with your child. ScratchJr has been created in cooperation between the DevTech Research Group der Tufts University, the Lifelong Kindergarten Group of the MIT Media Lab and the Playful Invention Company. The goal is to introduce some basic ICT concepts to children who may not yet be able to read and write. This way they can acquire their first "Computational Thinking Skills" that they’ll need throughout life in many different contexts (e.g. recognising patterns, decomposition of tasks, generalizing concepts, etc.)
