Teens critical thinking and yellow journalism

Have you discussed with your teens the meaning and purpose of "yellow journalism"?

Find together with them a yellow media source which they follow. Explain with examples how to distinguish fake news, facts and opinions. Let them make a note (for a week) every time they notice yellow/fake news that they would have previously read and accepted as true without thinking or checking it.

At the end of the week, discuss the results.
