About Minecraft
Online gaming is one way for young people to not only stay in touch with friends that they can't meet regularly (as we've seen during the COVID19 pandemic but also due to geographical distance or for some other reason) but to actually do something together, a bit like playing board games. There are tons of games on the internet, either for free or subject to a fee, and it might be difficult for parents to keep track of everything that is on the market and the advantages but also the disadvantages of each game. However, you can find some useful information about one of the most popular games, Minecraft, in the Parents' Guide to Media Literacy or here https://www.commonsensemedia.org/blog/parents-ultimate-guide-to-minecraft
